What is ACTION TAKES ACTION?
Established in 2017, Action takes Action is a charity arm of our business. Each year we rally behind a different worthy causes to raise awareness and much needed funds for others in need.
Why did we decided to create a charity arm of the business?
Action takes Action is a project that has long been on the heart of Director Jodie Williams.
Feeling grateful for the wonderful dance community we have it is important to encourage the students to look beyond our safe and nurturing environment, grow in generosity and character and support the wider community in need.

OUR CHARITY PARTNER FOR 2025
This year we are partnering with Bear Cottage to participate in their Super Hero Week. Bear Cottage is the only children’s hospice in NSW, providing specialised care, support and respite for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. It’s a place filled with love, where children can laugh, play, and create precious memories with their families during incredibly challenging times.
Families never pay to stay at Bear Cottage, and it is only through the generosity of the community that they can continue providing this incredible care.
✨ Super Hero Week ✨
This year, we’ll be bringing our community together for Super Hero Week—an opportunity for our dancers to dress up, have fun, and most importantly, make a difference.
By donating, you’re becoming part of a team of real-life superheroes—supporting children and families who need it most and helping Bear Cottage continue the amazing work they do every single day.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
1. SUPER HERO DRESS UP WEEK:
Monday 29th June - Saturday 4th July (week 11)
Come to each of your regular classes during week 11of term 2 dressed in your best super hero disguise.
Donate a gold coin during your class time - all proceeds being donated to the Bear Cottage.
2. SAUSAGE SIZZLE SUPER HEROES:
Saturday 4th July @ Bunnings Thornleigh
As part of our Super Hero Week fundraising, we’re hosting our very own Super Hero Sausage Sizzle and we’d love your help!
Join us on Saturday 4th July, 8:00am – 12:00pm at Bunnings Thornleigh as we cook up a storm to raise money for Bear Cottage
🦸♀️ Want to be a Super Hero behind the BBQ?
We’re looking for volunteers to help flip snags, serve drinks, and spread the love! Every helping hand makes a difference.
🌭 Prefer to support by eating? (We love that too!)
Swing by, grab a sausage and a drink, and help us raise funds for an incredible cause. Bring your family, bring your friends, and enjoy a classic Bunnings brekkie... all for a great reason!
What we have achieved so far:
2025 we partnered with the Beyond Blue to raise $1434
2024 we partnered with the Pyjama Foundation to raise $3079
2023 we partnered with Camp Quality to raise $1750
2022 we partnered with The World’s Greatest Shave to raise $1370
2019 we partnered with the Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia and raised $3808 to help struggling families of kids being treated for childhood cancer.
2018 we partnered with the Hornsby Kur-ring-gai Women's Shelter to raise $1800 for women in our local community suffering from homelessness and domestic violence.
2017 we partnered with Mission Australia to raise $1400 who used the money to support families with affordable housing, early learning and youth services, family support and skills development for those in need.
