WHAT CLASSES DO YOU OFFER?

At Action Dance Academy we pride our self on being able to offer a wide range of dance classes to suit each age group. Classes are grouped by school year so that students can dance with their friends. We offer recreational and representative troupe teams as well as RAD ballet exams so whether your child is wanting to dance for fun or extend their passion and skill level, there is a class for everyone!

We endeavour to provide you with the right class, even if it takes a few trial classes to find the right fit. Students should feel challenged but not overwhelmed by their class choice.

Please feel free to contact the office if you feel you need assistance finding the right class for your child. Remember we want the best for you and are always available to help guide you.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MY FIRST LESSON?

You can expect a nice warm welcome from our teachers. Students will be greeted by the class teacher and introduced to the class during roll call. We want every student to feel comfortable and relaxed at their first lesson and make sure new students are encouraged and nurtured into their first dance lesson. Your child’s enjoyment is our priority.

UNIFORM...

You don’t need a uniform to trial our classes. We suggest you wear comfortable clothes you are happy to dance in. We have a wide range of uniform options available on our website and once you are ready to enrol you will need to purchase the correct uniform. We are very happy to assist you should you have any questions.

CAN I WATCH MY CHILD IN CLASS?

We do not usually allow non-participating people in the studio while classes are on as it becomes distracting for the students and sometimes a little intimidating when learning new skills. We find students learn best when there is just the teacher and students in the classroom. However if your little one is trialing and they need you nearby we are happy to accommodate this. Once your child is settled we welcome parents to either wait in the foyer or drop off and pick up from our venues.

HOW WILL I KEEP INFORMED ABOUT WHAT’S HAPPENING?

When you enrol at Action Dance you will receive access to our parent portal. Via this portal you can view classes, update family details and see latest newsletters. Our newsletters and invoices are also emailed out once a term. The parent portal is found on the homepage of our website.

We would love for you to follow us on our Facebook page and Instagram account and we encourage everyone to be part of as we put up current information every week.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?

Missing a class happens as life happens! We do not offer credits for the occasional missed classes, however in term 1 you are welcome to attend a make up lesson in another class within your child’s age group. You must contact the office to book a make up lesson so we can inform the teacher that you are coming along and make sure there is room in the class. Make up classes are not offered in Terms 3 & 4 due to concert preparation.

Credits are only given for serious injury/ illness with medical certificate provided or extended overseas holiday (min 3 weeks missed for a credit to be considered).

READY SET dance classes are able to attend a make up lesson in another class during any time of the year.
